TO MAIN AWWEE WEBPAGE
Join AWWEE's Bay Area Regional Team for a tour of Calpine Corporation's Russell City Energy Center (RCEC) located in Hayward, California. The RCEC is a highly fuel-efficient, 625 MW combined-cycle power plant which uses 100% recycled water and was the nation's first power plant to voluntarily accept a federal air permit with a greenhouse emissions limit. Attendees will tour and learn more about Calpine's state-of-the-art facility as well as the on-site recycled water facility that conserves water and prevents nearly 4 million gallons of wastewater per day from being discharged into the San Francisco Bay.
